If you don’t see your plan, private pay is always an option. You can also reach out with questions — I’ll help you figure out what makes the most sense for you.
Do you offer any discounted rates or sliding-scale fees?
At this time, I don’t offer formal sliding scale fees, and insurance rates can’t be adjusted — those prices are set by the insurance companies, not by me.
What I can tell you is this:
I keep my private pay rates intentionally competitive because I want therapy to be accessible without compromising the quality of care. I put a lot into my work — training, research, time, energy, and real presence — and my pricing reflects both the value of that expertise and the need to keep my practice sustainable.
If cost is a concern, you’re always welcome to reach out, and we can talk through options like group work packages or different scheduling approaches. There’s no judgment here — just a commitment to helping you find something that works.
What if I don't like my counselor, or it's not a "good fit"?
First things first: I get it.
As a therapist who has a therapist, I know how important the therapeutic relationship is. The fit matters — a lot. And if something feels off, it’s not a failure. It’s just information.
If I'm not the right person for you, please tell me. Truly. I won’t be upset, offended, or weird about it. You deserve a therapist who feels like a good match, and part of my job is making sure you get where you need to be, even if that’s not with me.
You have options:
-
We can talk it through together
-
You can receive a referral directly through the Headway client portal
-
You can easily switch providers right inside the system — it’s a simple, stress-free process
The goal is your healing, not my ego. I’ll support you either way.

What is your cancellation policy?
I get it — life happens. Kids get sick, work explodes, cars break down, and sometimes the universe just throws a whole damn wrench into your day. I don’t expect perfection, and I understand that emergencies come up.
That said, your appointment time is reserved just for you. When a session is missed without notice, it impacts my schedule and prevents someone else from being seen. To keep things fair and sustainable for everyone, here’s the policy:
⏰ Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your session.
If a session is not formally canceled within 48 hours of its scheduled time, a $125 late-cancel / no-show fee will be charged.
This fee must be paid before another session can be scheduled.
⭐ What counts as an acceptable emergency?
These are situations where the fee may be waived — because sometimes life is bigger than therapy:
-
Sudden or severe illness (you or your child)
-
Medical emergencies
-
Emergency room or urgent care visits
-
Car accidents
-
Unexpected hospitalization of yourself or a family member
-
Death of a loved one
-
Situations involving personal safety
-
Natural disasters or power outages affecting your ability to attend
-
Any genuinely unavoidable crisis we can both agree qualifies
If something serious happens, just let me know as soon as you’re able. I’m human too, and I operate with empathy and common sense.
⭐ Why this policy exists
Consistency and boundaries are part of the therapeutic process. The cancellation policy protects both your time and mine, keeps the schedule predictable, and ensures I can continue offering high-quality care to every client.
If you have questions or need clarity, I’m always open to a conversation.
